About Planning applications, results, inspections for PCB v1a
Bought in December 2009 from Roy and Elaine Sullivan - lawyers is a different story :(
Hassle with planners, esp. the clown running the dept in Shrewsbury
- never forget him jumping around in his office chanting ---
"we are going to list it"
English Heritage sent a lad from Bristol, who wrote a report,
2 pages were on the origin of the house name!
That part was laughed out. I checked Ruthin Gaol, the Denbyshire archive, and sure it is on
the 1840 (first Ordance Survey) maps so it "has to be listed".
FYI Aside you can get a modern building Listed
ref Sphinx Hill on Thames path between Wallingford and Goring.
SPHINX HILL in Moulsford, known locally as “the Egyptian house”, is on the market. (Aug 2024)
Temp ad, also see Modern House, or search for it
Early days architects - somehow we picked Hughes, in Welshpool
They achieved a permission letter ---
There was a good planner / conservationalist at the time (2011) Philip Belchere, took a real interest in Sustainability.

update :- 30 Aug 24, having had a red book valuer look at PCB
He said must get building regs sign off docs to ease future sale
starts a new war - Shrewsbury building control want £600+ for a piece of paper,
because they have failed to inspect in over 10 years, D'oh

Here are a couple of interactions, when finished reading in your browser; it should allow download, and simply kill the new tab or window with (x)
Conditional Approval Inspection Notes
---
The permission to build the extension was a single phone call
"there have been no objections - do what you like"
Never seen a building inspector, though the name Fin as in Inspection Notes vaguely rings a bell,
otherwise perhaps they only look at porches in Shrewsbury (too cynical perhaps)
Wondering what they do with the council tax ?
